As a not for profit registered charity, Appris are always keen to support local initiatives that support apprentices, their employers, Appris staff or the next generation of engineers.

VEX Robotics World Championships
Competing for the first time, Appris entered the 2016 VEX Robotics world finals on 20th-24th April 2016 in Kentucky. The team consisted of five HNC students, Nathan Coope, Harry Betts, Tom King (all Rotork), Alasdair Vaughan (Brightscrew) and Dominic Trees, Carnaudmetalbox and was co-funded by the Charity and employers.

Bradford Central Food Bank
Instead of providing chocolates to our valued customers, since 2015 Appris has donated 100 selection boxes to the Bradford Food Bank, enabling young children to receive a selection box in time for Christmas.

Primary Engineer Programme
Delivered at Boston Spa High School and supported by local primary schools, Appris sponsored the Primary Engineering programme that involved workshops for primary school teachers to include engineering subjects as part of Key Stage 1 and 2 lessons.

Prince of Wales Hospice Cyclotron 2016
By completing the 50-mile road challenge around West and North Yorkshire, Kenny Stoddart (Operations Director) and Justine Watson (Training Advisor) raised £200 for the Prince of Wales Trust, 50% of which was from Appris Charity.
